Apple Cider Moscow Mule, made with hard Apple Cider, Citron Vodka, Ginger Beer, lime juice, and a hint of cinnamon!
Meatless Monday is overrated!
It’s Monday people. The weekend shenanigans are over, it’s time to get back to work. It’s time for a drink! Not a vegetarian meal!!!
I think I’m gonna rename Mondays to –> Moscow Mule Monday!
That has a much better ring to it and sounds like it will help me get through the rest of week!
I think one of my favorite things about Moscow Mules is the cooper cup. It just looks cool. Right? But besides looking uber trendy it helps make sure that your drink stays cold the entire time! Once the iced drink hits the cooper mug the mug takes on that temperature right away. And everyone knows that an ice cold drink tastes that much better!
Moscow Mules are typically made with crushed ice, ginger beer, vodka, and fresh lime juice. That’s it!
Well, since the first day of fall is this Thursday I decided to fall-ify this drink.
And what says fall more than apples!
I guarantee this Apple Cider Moscow Mule will be YOUR “drink of choice” this fall.
There aren’t very many drinks that I take a sip of and then minutes later it’s gone. I usually like to take my time, and sip my way through it. Kinda like I do with wine. But not this one!
This drink is so smooth you won’t even know you’re drinking alcohol! The hard apple cider combined with the citron vodka was perfection, no hard bite from the vodka, but the key to this drink is making sure you add a dash of cinnamon! It’s a must and really completes this drink!
Everything about this Moscow Mule screams fall! I know without a shadow of a doubt that you are gonna love this drink!
So instead of starting out the week with a vegetarian meal, cuz we all know you need something a little stronger to get you through this week … start it off with this Apple Cider Moscow Mule.
Cheers … and stay thirsty my friends!

Big hit at an autumn celebration. Used Deep Eddy lemon vodka and Angry Orchard unfiltered apple cider. Delicious!!
ohhhh love deep eddy!!! Good call!
You have a picture o Redds and you use Absolute Citron. I would stay away from both of those poisons. Use a lime bitter. The FDA does not regulate how they flavor booze…if you want healthy stay away from them or find an organic aroma infused.
Uhhh Redd’s is an apple flavored beer and not a cider.
Try Magner’s or JK Scrumpy’s if you like sweet ciders.
For the dry cider fans Aspall or Ace Joker.
Whoops! Thanks for the correction!
I see Reds in the background, do you use this as the “hard cider”? What brands to you recommend for the hard cider and ginger beer?
This looks amazing!
Sure did. I used Redds Apple Ale, but I also like Angry Orchard. As far as the ginger beer, I don’t really have a preference, I was just looking for the best buy. 🙂 You’re gonna love these Adrianne!
Redds isn’t cider. It’s an ale, which makes it a beer… Cider has a totally different flavor profile. Even the driest cider will be much sweeter and Angry Orchard is on the sweet side. Not sure what to do here.
Yes, I stand corrected. I’ve tried it with both and it will still be good with angry orchard.
I’ll take one of these any day of the week! So perfect for fall.
Or every day.. hehe 🙂
Those look perfect. love the mugs and the garnish too!
