Roasted Asparagus Rollups with Balsamic Reduction Drizzle
Roasted Asparagus is wrapped in buttery Pillsbury Crescent Rolls and topped off with a sweet Balsamic Reduction Drizzle. One word… heaven!
Happy 2014! We have officially made it! Crazy huh?
What did you do to ring in the New Year last night? Did you stay up until the ball dropped at midnight, or head to bed early? Did you get a kiss from that special someone?
Over here is Texas we brought in the New Year with family. Mike and I had people over to eat appetizers, Christmas Cookies {yes, we still have some}, and Sparkling Cider or Champagne! To finish off the night, we listened to the echo of a bizzaillion fireworks being put off by our next door neighbors. Usually the next morning our street looks like a war zone from all the firework shells/cases left over. Crazy Texans like them some fireworks, thats for sure! 🙂
I hope 2014 brings you many blessings, happy memories, goals accomplished, dreams come true, lessons learned, and spiritual growth.
Ok, so here’s to the first recipe of the new year! An Asparagus Rollup with a Balsamic Reduction Drizzle. This appetizer is outrageously easy to make! You only need 3 ingredients… ummm… awesome! The asparagus is perfectly roasted with a slight crunch still left in the spear, then wrapped in a buttery Crescent Roll and topped off with a sweet thick homemade Balsamic Reduction! It is absolutely heaven in one bit. People will be asking you where you got that appetizer recipe all night! 🙂 {just send them my way.. hehe}
How to Make These Asparagus Rollups
To get started, pre-make the Balsamic Reduction and refrigerate. Preheat oven to 375º.
Wash and cut wooden bottom off 32 asparagus spears {last 2″ of asparagus}.
Remove Pillsbury Crescent Rolls from 2 cans and lay out in long rectangle. Separate each perforated roll, there should be 8 in each can. Put 2 asparagus spears each roll and roll up the crescent roll like you normally would.
Place each roll on baking pan and bake for 13 minutes, or until crescent rolls are lightly browned.
Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm and with a drizzle of balsamic reduction on top. {or plain if you desire}
