Description

This spicy avocado salsa verde recipe with garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and fresh tomatillos is a 5-minute Mexican appetizer you’ll love!


Ingredients

  • 6 tomatillos, husked removed
  • 1/4 cup chopped sweet onion
  • 3/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large avocado

Instructions

  1. To a food processor, add tomatillos, sweet onion, fresh cilantro, garlic clove, lime juice, jalapeno. ground cumin, and salt. Blend until smooth and starts to look like salsa.
  2. Next add in one avocado. Pulse the blender 5-6 times to blend all the ingredients together and avocado is slightly chunky.
  3. Serve!
