Description

These crispy salmon bites are so easy to make in the air fryer and the sweet-and-tangy Asian-inspired marinade makes them irresistible!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. raw salmon skin removed, cut into 1” cubes
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup tamari sauce
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, for garnish
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. To a large bowl add sesame oil, tamari sauce, rice wine vinegar, garlic and ginger. Whisk to combine.
  2. Add cubed salmon to the bowl. Toss to coat the salmon with the sauce and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  4. Remove the salmon from the sauce and reserve the leftover sauce.
  5. Add salmon cubes to the air fryer in a single layer (do two batches if necessary) and cook for 8-10 minutes. Remove and let rest.
  6. In the meantime, add leftover sauce to a small saucepan. Make a cornstarch slurry with the water and cornstarch and slowly pour the slurry into the sauce stirring the whole time. Simmer until the sauce is thickened.
  7. Glaze salmon with the remaining sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and green onion.
