If you love quick fruity cocktails, this agave-sweetened strawberry mojito recipe is for you.
- Great for the summer. Nothing screams “summer cocktail” like sweet strawberries, tangy lime juice, and spicy mint.
- Effortless. They’re ready in 5 minutes!
- Prep-friendly. Make it in advance so you just have to pour these fruity mojitos into glasses once your guests arrive.
- Fizzy. Seltzer water adds some bubbly goodness to each refreshing sip.
Ingredient Notes
Silver rum helps give these mojitos a smooth, clean finish. Scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post for exact amounts.
- Strawberries – Fresh strawberries are best. Frozen ones works too if they’re thawed and well drained.
- Mint – Basil is a good swap. Avoid dried mint because it doesn’t muddle well.
- Agave nectar – You can also use raw honey, maple syrup, or simple syrup.
- Lime juice – Feel free to use lemon juice.
- Bacardi – Use their silver rum. Aged rum works too but it’ll add a sweeter, smokier flavor.
- Seltzer water – Club soda is fine too.
Can I Use Different Kinds of Berries?
Of course! You can use raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries. Berry mixes are great for this as well.
How to Make a Strawberry Mojito
You an even quicker mojito, just blend everything together. Scroll to the bottom of the post for the full recipe card.
- Muddle it. Add the mint and strawberries to a pitcher. Muddle them or smash them together until slightly crushed to release the flavors.
- Stir it. Mix in the lime juice, agave nectar, and rum.
- Serve. Pour in the seltzer. Stir gently and serve!
Tips for the Best Mojitos
Add sweet peaches, spicy jalapeños, a tangy Tajin rim, or turn this strawberry mojito recipe into frozen cocktails.
- Turn it into a mocktail. Skip the rum and swap it for cranberry or grape juice for an alcohol-free drink.
- Add a rim. Rub a lime wedge along the rim of your glasses. Dip them into salt or Tajin chili powder for a savory touch.
- Prep ahead. Make this recipe as usual but without the seltzer water. Prep it up to 3 days in advance. Add the water right before serving.
- Make it fruitier. Add 1/4 cup diced peaches, mango, or pineapple for an extra fruity cocktail.
- Add heat. Grab 1-2 thin slices of fresh jalapeños or serranos and muddle them with the rest of the ingredients for a bit of heat.
- Make it a frozen mojito. Blend all of the ingredients (except the rum and seltzer) with 1/4-1/2 cup crushed ice. Add the alcohol and water at the end.

A hut over water with this beauty in hand sounds perfect!!!
ohhh yes it does!
Me and my husband love mojito. It is our go to drink in the summer, virgin or alcoholic. It gives sitting on a balcony the feeling that you are sitting on a beach somewhere 🙂 We haven’t tried it with strawberries and agave, though. We’ll give it a go and I’ll let you know, how we like it 🙂
