By now you know that water is key to success. After all, 60% of our bodies are made up of water. So I’d say, it’s pretty important. I can also bet that you aren’t drinking enough of it during the day. How do I know that? Because I know I’m not!
How much water should you be drinking a day? You may have heard to drink eight 8 oz. glasses of water a day (64 oz. total) and you’ll be fine. Nope. You should be try to drink between a half ounce to an ounce of water for every pound you weight. So, if you weight 200 lbs you should be drinking between 100 to 200 ounces of water a DAY! Crazy right?
Now that you know how much you should be drinking, let’s talk about getting that plain water down. One of my favorite tricks is infusing water with things like fruit, citrus or fresh herbs. Today we’re making Detox Lemon Cucumber Water and guys, you’re going to be obsessed!

Cucumber Water is a quick and easy method to add flavor to regular water by infusing sliced cucumber into water. The health benefits of cucumber water are numerous. It can aid in weight loss and digestion. Contains antioxidants and is said to help with bone support and lowers blood pressure. Cucumber Water also supports healthy skin.

With less than 5 ingredients this recipe couldn’t be easier. Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make this Infused Lemon Cucumber Water.
- Lemon – Lemons are loaded with vitamin C and soluble fiber. They are also said to aid in weight loss and digestive issues. I love them because they give tons of flavor to an otherwise plain glass of water.
- Cucumber – Cucumber has so many health benefits. It flushes out the toxins and cleans your gut. They are loaded with digestive enzymes which will obviously help with digestion as well as inflammation. You can slice them lengthwise or into coins.
- Mint – This is not a common thing to add to water. That being said, you’re going to love the flavor the mint infuses in every sip. The mint will also help clear your sinuses as well as freshen your breath. Just saying.
- Water – Kinda a KEY ingredient for flavored water. You can use distilled or filtered water.
How to Make Cucumber Water
This recipe comes together quick with only 4 ingredients and is ready in 30 minutes. The best part is you can keep refilling the water as you go through it. So you always have infused water on hand!
- To a large pitcher add thinly sliced cucumber, lemon and mint sprigs. Top with water. Let sit for at least 30 minutes to let all the flavors meld together.
- Pour over ice and serve.
How to Store Cucumber Water
The best way to store this Detox Water is covered in the refrigerator without ice. I’d recommend not keeping it longer than 1 day as the lemon and cucumber start to break down and most of the nutrients are gone.
How Long is Cucumber Water Good For?
That depends. If you keep the cucumber, lemon and mint in the pitcher the water will only last for 1 day max. However, if you strain the solid ingredients from the water before storing in the refrigerator it will last up to 2 days.

can we eat cucumber that is soaked?
yes, absoltuely. I wouldn’t eat it past a day because it won’t taste great but you can eat it.
